I´m designing a magazine and for that I am using an A4- sized template (210x297mm).
But my client wanted a slightly different format wich is (210x287mm)
For that I used the Page Tool-tool with a reference point at the bottom of the page so that the vertical cropping would crop the top of the page as there is enough air for that with the design currently in the template. I did this manually with every single page in my template. I also did this with my two A-masters. Lastly I changed the document setup. It still stated 210x297mm even though my whole document now is 210x287mm. I changed this so that there would be no confusion. The reason I did not use the document setup for resizing was that It cropped my template from the bottom. With the Page Tool I could choose where the page would be vertically cropped.
So everything should be in order right?
But, when I drag my new and vertically cropped A-masters down to make a new spread, the numbering now almost disappear out of the bottom of the spread. I have to move the numbering far up the page layout in the masters for them to look normal in my spreads.
So my question is: Why is there now a 20mm or so- difference in the vertical placement of my page numbering between my master page numbering and my design template?
