There is no mask option in brightness and contrast effect in premiere. How can I load or access it?

I have noticed on tutorials that there is a mask option in the brightness and contrast effect in Premiere Pro CC. For some reason my app isn't giving me that option even though it is 7.2. How can I access the mask option? Is there a way to reload the program or reset the effects so they can access this feature?
