Hi, first time using these forums. But basically this is an issue I've had since March and I'm really not sure what to do as I've never had this problem. I am running a Windows system, using Windows 7, 64-bit. My installed version of Flash player is 13.0.0.214 and this issue has been happening on Firefox a lot, lately, my version of FF is 29.0.1.
But basically, when I'm on sites like Youtube. The video seems a lot more choppy than it should be. It never actually lags, and the audio doesn't lag. But playback is generally not smooth at all. I don't know if it's Firefox buggin' out, or it's Flash player buggin' out. But it is frustrating because I've never had this issue before, not even on my ancient PC. My current PC can handle the system requirements, no doubt about that. I'm hoping it's a bug or something, and not a random file hidden deep within the depths of my 2tb hdd. I've tried turning hardware accelerator off, but I haven't noticed any improvements. Matter of fact, before this only happened on FF, video playback was smooth on Chrome and Opera. Once I started turning hardware accel on and off, now Opera kind of has the same issue with video playback using Flash.
I haven't updated my graphics card driver in a while, not sure if it'll solve it. I've tried uninstalling and just reinstalling Flash player, but that causes a problem where whenever I try to skip to a certain part in a video. The screen will get black and pixelly for a few seconds. I had to use system restore to clear that up.
So...I'm kind of at a loss. Anything I'm doing wrong or is it a bug or something out of my control? I have a reasonably fast PC so it's not cool that I'm having this strange issue. Does anyone else have the same problem that I do?
Any help will be appreciated, thanks.
