Is there any way to get the Tags to display as a 'Grid' instead of a 'List'?

Irrespective of how wide the Tags pane is, Tags only appear as a single line list- with scores of tags its a pain to scroll up and down to find the correct one. With wide screen monitors there is enough space to have lots of tags visible in a grid format.
