I now understand what to do to generate the HTML 5 Video but it appears to need 3 video types and still feels too complicated.
Like I said above, you only need 2 file types to support all the latest browsers:
MP4 and OGG or WEBM. You'll find plenty of file converters online. I often use this one.

Seriously, if you think this is too complicated, you should find another line of work.
