I am still getting the notification that it is not updated and I cannot see my homework problems

What browser and operating system (including version) are you using?

 

Essentially all major browser vendors block/disable Flash by default, forcing the user to allow it for each browsing session.  It's up to the content creator to update their content to conform to the browser requirements.  In this case, it's quite possible the content you're attempting to view is not detecting you have Flash Player installed, thus prompting you to allow/unblock Flash.
